His travels have shaped his approach, blending techniques and inspirations from around the world. Wherever he works, his values remain the same, precision, sustainability, and creating spaces that foster connection and harmony. Passionate about the environment, he keeps his work zones immaculate, often going the extra mile to remove and recycle waste left behind from other trades.
Reflecting across his career in the industry, perhaps, this current chapter working alongside his apprentice daughter is his biggest investment in continuing the legacy.
Phoenix
Apprentice, AKA Mini Me
As a second-year painting and decorating apprentice in our family business, Phoenix is already making waves in the industry. Her dedication and skill were recently recognised when she won the silver medal in the 2024 WorldSkills Regional Painting and Decorating competition, a testament to her ability to learn.

With an incredible eye for detail and a natural gift for colour matching, (probably developed in childhood with makeup and nail polish). Phoenix embraces every project into a work of pride. Whether she’s cutting sharp lines or adding those final touches that make all the difference, her passion shines through in everything she does.
On the tools with her dad, she’s not just learning the craft, she’s challenging the industry’s traditional gender norms, and carrying on the legacy of her dad’s business.

As the mama bear of our family business, Fran works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. While you may not see her on the front lines, she’s the glue that holds it all together—managing operations, keeping the team organised, and ensuring every customer feels valued and cared for.
